Saturday 18th May we were delighted to be the entertainment at the Spring Festival held by Lower Wyke Moravian Church. Here’s some of our ladies, raring to go in the warmup room:After the locals had enjoyed what smelled like a lovely meal, we took to the stage to run through some of our favourite songs from our current repertoire. Sadly as we were all on stage, we couldn’t get a picture, you’ll just have to take our word for it!We broke midway through our performance for a stand up sit down bingo session ran by Janet (complete with prizes) followed by a short set by our girls Jaunty Angle. They went down a storm, especially Ni’s Shirley Bassey moment! They’re a tough act to follow, but we rejoined the stage to finish off with a few British pop classics culminating in Bohemian Rhapsody (thanks LABBS!)The feedback from the audience was brilliant, everybody had a great time and we loved every moment on that stage. One of the organisers was heard to say ‘I thought you couldn’t beat a male voice choir, but I was wrong!’ We’ll take that gladly!Til next time,
